Welcome to Alasraar, the house of secrets

A beautifully crafted tarot guide rooted in intention. Discover the meanings behind the cards, explore timeless archetypes, and begin your journey inward.

Alasraar – The House of Secrets

Alasraar means "secrets" in Arabic. This is a space for seekers, skeptics, and anyone curious about tarot.

Alasraar is a passion project created by two tarot enthusiasts who wanted to reimagine how tarot is explored online. We felt that most resources were either too vague or too commercial, and we longed for something more thoughtful. Something that honored the mystery, symbolism, and quiet power of the cards.

Our goal is to build a beautiful, intuitive space for anyone curious about tarot, whether you're just picking up your first deck or deep in your own practice. Every card has a story. Every reading holds insight. We're also growing a community on Discord for people to share ideas, questions, and discoveries together. Alasraar is here to help you slow down, reflect, and uncover what those stories might mean for you.

A Glimpse Into Tarot

Discover the basics of tarot, the structure of a deck, and how to start your own reading.

What is Tarot?

Tarot is a deck of 78 symbolic cards used for reflection, storytelling, and yes, sometimes fortune telling too. Each card holds archetypes and imagery that help explore questions, reveal patterns, and offer fresh insight into life's mysteries.

Major & Minor Arcana

The tarot deck is made up of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The Majors explore life's big moments and themes, while the Minors reveal everyday feelings, patterns, and decisions. Together, they form a story, a story that is suited to you.

Origins of Tarot

Tarot has deep roots in 15th-century Europe, but its spirit is timeless. What began as playing cards evolved into a powerful tool for reflection and divination, blending mysticism, art, and psychology in a way that still speaks to people today.

Modern Use

Today, tarot is used to explore emotions, patterns, and possibilities and for some, to glimpse what might lie ahead. It's a tool for reflection just as much as it can be for intuitive forecasting, helping you navigate choices with greater clarity.

Tarot in Daily Life

Tarot isn't just for big questions or dramatic moments. Many people turn to the cards for everyday guidance, to check in with their mood, set intentions, or reflect before bed. Whether it's part of your morning ritual or a quiet moment before sleep, tarot can help you stay grounded and connected to yourself.

How to Begin with Tarot

2. Shuffle & Pull Cards

Think of your question. Shuffle with intention, then pull the number of cards your spread calls for.

3. Reflect on the Symbols

Notice the symbols, colors, and feelings. Let your intuition guide meaning, past, present, or even future.
